Hilde Marie Kvaløsæter

Hilde Marie Kvaløsæter is an educator, mentor and social impact leader with extensive experience across education, human development, responsible tourism, wellbeing and community engagement.

Originally from Norway, Hilde Marie first travelled to Cambodia in 2007 and has maintained a deep connection with the country ever since. Over many years, she has worked directly with students, educators, families and local communities, developing a strong understanding of the social, educational and personal factors that influence opportunity and long-term development.

At EDGE Worldwide, Hilde Marie brings particular strength in pedagogy, mentoring, pastoral care, positive psychology and student wellbeing. Her work focuses not only on access to education, but on helping individuals build confidence, resilience, self-efficacy and the personal capability to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Her broader professional experience has also included leadership in responsible tourism and hospitality, where she developed education and empowerment initiatives for staff, supported further study and promoted practices designed to create positive social impact.

As Executive Director of EDGE Worldwide, Hilde Marie contributes to strategy, program development, mentoring, education and community engagement. Her approach is grounded in long-term relationships, practical support and a belief that sustainable change is strongest when people are supported to recognise and build on their own strengths.

Based in Cambodia with her family, Hilde Marie remains closely connected to the communities, educators and individuals at the centre of EDGE Worldwide’s work.
