As an Australian registered charity working internationally, we take seriously our responsibility to ensure that funds, partnerships and programs are managed carefully, used for legitimate charitable purposes and directed toward meaningful educational and community outcomes.

EDGE Worldwide Limited is a registered Australian charity operating within the Australian Government charity framework and regulated by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
We also hold Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, meaning eligible donations to EDGE Worldwide are tax-deductible in Australia.

Governance & Oversight
EDGE Worldwide is governed through defined organisational, financial and decision-making structures designed to protect the integrity of the organisation and the work it undertakes.
Our governance framework includes Board oversight, documented decision-making, financial controls, appropriate approval processes and ongoing review of organisational and program risk.
As a registered Australian charity, EDGE Worldwide operates in accordance with the ACNC Governance Standards and the regulatory obligations applicable to Australian charities.
Because EDGE also operates internationally, our overseas activities are subject to the ACNC External Conduct Standards, which provide additional requirements around the management of overseas activities, funds, records, risk and the protection of vulnerable people.
Our objective is not simply regulatory compliance. Good governance helps ensure that the support entrusted to EDGE is used responsibly and remains aligned with our charitable purpose. Our work also aligns with relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those relating to quality education, wellbeing, equality, decent work, reduced inequality, strong institutions and partnerships.
Financial Stewardship
Every contribution carries a responsibility.
Funds received by EDGE Worldwide support our broader work in education, mentoring, student wellbeing, teacher development, educational access, community support and the development of initiatives such as the EDGE Worldwide Education & Pastoral Care Hubs.
Financial decisions are made according to organisational priorities, approved activities and identified community needs.
At times, EDGE establishes specific-purpose initiatives or funding campaigns. Where funds are expressly raised or allocated for a defined initiative, those funds are set aside for that purpose and 100% of those designated funds are directed to the initiative itself. This may include, for example, funding specifically provided for the development of an EDGE Worldwide Education & Pastoral Care Hub.
EDGE maintains financial records, approval processes and reporting mechanisms designed to provide appropriate control over expenditure and ensure that funds are applied toward legitimate charitable purposes.
Where funding is provided for specific programs, partnerships or designated initiatives, expenditure and outcomes are monitored against the intended purpose of that support.
Our aim is responsible stewardship: directing resources where they can create meaningful value while maintaining the governance, transparency and financial discipline expected of an Australian charity.
Operating Responsibly in Cambodia

EDGE Worldwide’s work in Cambodia is undertaken with consideration of local context, community relationships and Australian regulatory requirements.
A key strength of our model is direct local presence. EDGE’s Executive Directors and team members spend significant time living and working in Cambodia, engaging directly with schools, educators, families, community leaders and partner organisations.
This on-the-ground presence supports stronger relationships, better understanding of local needs and more informed decision-making.
EDGE maintains appropriate oversight while also respecting the knowledge, leadership and capability of the Cambodian educators, communities and organisations with whom we work.
This balance of maintaining strong governance while remaining locally connected and responsive is central to how we operate.
