Education & Pastoral Care Hub
The EDGE Education & Pastoral Care Hub is a dedicated, locally based space designed to bring together education, digital access, mentoring, pastoral care, teacher development and community support in one flexible environment.
The concept has grown from years of working alongside Cambodian schools, educators and communities and recognising that barriers to education rarely exist in isolation. Each Hub is developed around the needs, strengths and priorities of the community it serves, while working within a clear EDGE framework for education, wellbeing and local capacity development.
A practical framework for education, wellbeing and local opportunity.
Learning & Digital Access
A dedicated learning environment supporting language development, literacy, digital skills, independent learning and access to educational resources and technology. Programs are shaped around the needs and opportunities of the local school or community.
Health & Wellbeing Resource
A platform for health education, preventative care and appropriate community-based support. Where needed, EDGE can work with hospitals, clinics, health professionals and partner organisations to facilitate health and dental checks, nutrition education and other services that help children remain healthy, engaged and able to learn.
Pastoral Care & Support
A safe and trusted environment where young people and community members can access mentoring, guidance and practical support. Activities may address wellbeing, resilience, confidence, child protection, healthy relationships and other challenges that can affect education and personal development.
Teacher & Community Development
Ongoing professional development, mentoring and knowledge-sharing for teachers, educators and community leaders. This may include workshops, classroom support, digital teaching tools, responsible use of emerging technologies and initiatives designed to strengthen local skills, confidence and long-term community ownership.

While every Hub responds to its local setting, each project begins with a defined physical and educational foundation. EDGE works with the partner school or community to identify the location, assess priorities and establish a space capable of supporting learning, mentoring, teacher development and community-based activities.
Depending on the location, this may involve constructing a new space or adapting an existing one, together with appropriate furniture, learning resources, secure storage, digital equipment, connectivity and other infrastructure required for the Hub’s intended programs.

A tangible investment in long-term local capacity.
Support for a Hub is directed toward a defined project with an agreed scope, location and budget. EDGE manages the process from local assessment and planning through to establishment, resourcing and implementation.
Each funded Hub will have a clearly documented project scope so supporters can understand what their contribution is helping create and how the funding is being used.
Establish an Education & Pastoral Care Hub
A Hub provides a tangible way to invest in education, wellbeing and opportunity within one community.
Each Hub combines a defined physical space with locally relevant education and support. EDGE works with the partner community to determine the appropriate scope and then manages the planning, establishment, resourcing and ongoing development of the initiative.
Individuals, businesses, foundations and organisations can fund or partner in the establishment of a specific Hub. Designated contributions are allocated directly to the agreed initiative, with EDGE providing clear information about its scope, implementation and use of funds.
