Tanner Heath

Tanner Heath is an educator, university professor, international program leader and long-standing contributor to EDGE Worldwide, with more than fifteen years of experience in youth leadership, education, cross-cultural learning and international development.

Tanner was involved in EDGE’s work from the very beginning, before the formal establishment of EDGE Worldwide, and played a significant role in the creation and development of the Phum Ou Community School & Vocational Training Centre. He provided operational oversight across the school and worked closely with Jamie Christopherson in managing the broader educational and community program, including staff, project delivery, development and day-to-day operations.

Prior to and alongside his work with EDGE, Tanner spent many years with EDventure International as a Regional Manager for Southeast Asia. In that role, he led and designed international education programs, managed development-based projects, undertook research and project development, and worked directly with schools, universities, students and community partners across Cambodia and the wider region.

His professional experience extends across Cambodia, Korea, Thailand, Laos, Morocco and the United States, giving him a broad understanding of cultural context, education systems and community-based development. Tanner has also lived and worked extensively in Cambodia and continues to maintain a strong personal and professional connection to Southeast Asia.

At EDGE Worldwide, Tanner brings significant value through his operational knowledge, institutional perspective, understanding of Cambodian culture and communities, and long-term experience in education and international program delivery. In addition to his Board responsibilities, he supports the organisation with operations, structural development and organisational systems.

Tanner holds a degree in History from Eastern Oregon University and a graduate qualification in Recreation, Sports and Tourism Management from the University of Idaho. His work reflects a long-standing commitment to education, leadership, cultural understanding and the exchange of knowledge across communities.
